Our Story

Our story began with a right swipe on Bumble in Glasgow in February 2023. Jordan was instantly intrigued when Kelsey opened with the all-important question: would you rather have feet for hands or hands for feet?

The first date followed soon after at Bar Soba in the Merchant City on 27th February, and from there everything just clicked. By July, we had moved in together at our affectionately named flat, “The Ritz”, in Oatlands, after Kelsey's friend pulled out and Jordan stepped in.

In the summer of 2024, we headed north to Stonehaven, and by November had bought our first home together. The adventure reached a new milestone in October 2025, when Jordan popped the question in Krabi, Thailand - proving that one swipe really can change everything.

The Venue

Set in the heart of Aberdeenshire, Fasque Castle is a place rich in history and natural beauty. Once the home of a British Prime Minister, the castle is surrounded by rolling countryside and timeless charm. We can’t wait to celebrate our marriage here with our favourite people - a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Travel & Accomodation

Travel

By Car
Fasque Castle is most easily reached via the A90. Follow signs for Fettercairn (A937), where brown tourist signs will guide you toward the estate entrance. As you approach, please look for the long private driveway; there is ample complimentary parking available upon arrival.

By Rail
The nearest train stations are Laurencekirk (8 miles) and Stonehaven (15 miles). Both stations are well-served by local taxi firms for the final leg of the journey to the castle.

Guest Bus
We will look to book a bus for guests travelling from Stonehaven on the morning of the wedding, with a return trip following the evening celebrations. Please indicate if you would like to reserve a seat when submitting your RSVP.

Accomodation

A limited number of bedrooms and on-site cottages are available at Fasque Castle, and can be booked directly through the venue for either one or two nights. These are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend booking early if you would like to stay on-site.

For guests staying nearby, the seaside town of Stonehaven is a great option and is approximately 15 miles from Fasque Castle. Stonehaven offers a wide range of hotels, B&Bs, and self-catering accommodation to suit different budgets and preferences.

There are also plenty of other lovely options in the surrounding area, including Fettercairn, Edzell, Laurencekirk, Banchory and Aberdeen, should you wish to explore alternatives.
